Horticulture Service Supervisor

  • This position requires a results and details oriented supervisor who possesses strong horticultural skills, excellent people and organizational skills.

Customer Service Manager

  • After installation responsible for assuring that client needs are met in terms of horticulture (plant care) and service (Public Relations). Performs as Company liaison with client.
  • Oversee Horticultural Service Supervisors and Design Consultant(s). This includes hiring, dismissal, reviewing and reprimanding.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance Program, (Tech Performance Pay Program PPP). This is an inspection of 3 accounts per technician per quarter. Determine if accounts are ideal, acceptable or unacceptable. Review all results with Service Supervisor and Technician. Monitor resulting improvements.
  • Review new account books and visit new accounts within 1 week of installation and perform first service.
  • Review new account checklist and visit client accounts on a pre-determined regular basis.
  • Maintain liaison with client after installation to access client needs and build relationship (Conversation with contact).
  • Handle all client inquires, additions to accounts, deletions for accounts, canceling accounts, old account upgrades, design changes, inventories and negotiations after installation. Includes billing and public relations regarding stolen plants and damaged decorative containers.
  • Handle all special sales such as gift plants and holiday decorating.
  • Handle all accounts moving and relocating, temporary construction pulls, tented buildings, etc.
  • Track contract renewals and re-sign contracts for those few accounts that do not automatically renew.
  • Coordinate with Service Supervisor as needed daily to review any situations which may require immediate attention such as accounts not serviced, customer complaints, additions and deletions, etc.
  • Organize monthly tech meetings to discuss various issues, suggest ways to improve the efficiency of routing, plant replacements and service time at accounts.
  • Oversee all special maintenance service calls.
  • Meet with Service Supervisor as and when necessary to discuss goals, problems and progress in the department.
  • Return all customer phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Be punctual for all appointments, both internally and externally.
  • Assure all paperwork is complete, neat, orderly and has sufficient detail.
  • Deal with our customers and fellow Associates with the same respect that they wish for themselves.
  • Maintain proper, professional appearance.
  • Develops Associates.
  • Decide, with Design Consultant, whether an account is “A”, “B” or “C” quality, service times allotted and plant replacement budget allotted.
  • Approves vacations of those Associates reporting directly and cover as needed.
  • Coordinate with Office Manager in collecting outstanding receipts for material and services rendered.
  • Provide sales leads to the Design Consultant and encourage existing customers to ‘add on’ where possible.

Installer

  • Responsible for prepping plants prior to loading onto truck.
  • Responsible for loading plants, containers, supplies, etc., in the truck carefully.
  • Responsible in maintaining proper tools and consumable supplies.
  • Check relevant paper work (HISPA, material Check list, Install check list) to ensure every thing necessary for the job is loaded.
  • Deliver to job site and unload, ensure plants and containers are clean (Trim and remove dead foliage).
  • Notify Operations Manager/ Supervisor of any problems, If items are missing or not available to load into the truck.
  • Ensure all paper work is complete, neat and orderly and has sufficient details.
  • Install the plants as per HISPA and as instructed by Sales person/CSM/ HSS. If Sales person is not present after the install is completed, walk with the Customer to make sure customer is happy.
  • Ensure containers have inside liners, plants properly staged, mossed and watered as necessary.
  • Execute all job tasks and assignments, quickly and accurately -When plants are pulled from an account, load them into the truck carefully without damaging the foliage and ensure containers are stacked carefully without scratches.
  • Responsible for final cleaning, sweeping floors, walkways and around the vehicle after the installation or when plants are pulled from an account
  • Responsible for scanning into the account and scanning of plants and containers accurately.
  • Write specific notes on WOF if the job is incomplete.
  • Perform all special services as assigned from time to time.
  • Responsible for weekly delivery of plants to other divisions as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and outlook towards the work performed.
  • Ensure adequate measures are adopted in providing safe installs.
  • To maintain vehicle in a clean and safe operational condition.
  • The person should be physically fit, capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and should not be afraid of heights or using ladders. This position also requires bending, stooping, lifting, pulling, pushing, squatting and standing for long periods of time as necessary.

Greenhouse Assistant

  • Daily maintenance of green houses.
  • Check irrigation emitters, trim, prune, fertilize, weed, clean, and transplant (Repot) plants.
  • Receive, unload plant delivery from growers..
  • Loading of plants, containers, materials and supplies onto trucks.
  • Check quantity, size and type match against delivery order.
  • Remove sleeves, check plants for pests and diseases, and install bar codes.
  • Leach plants as necessary.
  • Process tech plant requisition and work orders, print req labels, install on plants and move them to the tech take out areas.
  • Ensure containers have inside liners, plants properly staged, mossed and watered as necessary.

  • Process paper work for new installs, tag and Prep plants by cleaning, trimming, etc..
  • Notify Supervisor and Operations Manager on irrigation system issues.
  • Identify all plants, as well as pests and diseases and treat them accordingly.
  • Hand water all plants in between green houses and plants that are not on irrigation emitters.
  • Weed in and around the greenhouses and keep the surrounding areas clean.
  • Assist in installs and Short term rentals as necessary.
  • Assist to prep plants in green house #6 to have them ready for plant sale.
  • -This position is a physically demanding and requires the applicant to be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis as well as function in a physical position such as standing, stooping, bending, turning, twisting, walking, kneeling, squatting and climbing ladders.
  • Able to work in environmental conditions of cold, hot, wet and humid conditions
  • Ability to properly use essential tools (but not limited) to shovels, shears, rakes, hand and power sprayers, etc.
